“Welcome to this card today. I m going to talk about a few more ideas ideas on how you can display your nes games in your collection. This is part let s take a look the first idea today is an idea i use over and over for different systems and different games. And even different collectables that you get in special editions and that s the nail polish rack.
Nail. Polish rack works fantastic for nes games and most other games and in this case. It ll hold 15 different games comfortably. And if you re okay overlapping.
Some it ll hold even more it works really well because it s a tiered display and that allows it to pack. A bunch of games into a smaller area as well as really show off that artwork by having another game kind of hanging above another one and nes cartridges are really great. Because they have a big giant sticker on the front showing off that artwork of that game. So you don t necessarily have to have the box to have that really cool artwork that wins with the game another huge plus of this display is that it s actually a clear display and it allows you to see even more of that cartridge.
I really like acrylic. I really like clear display..
So i can see more of that game where that cartridge and really show it off in a collection. And this thing is a perfect size for my bottom shelf and most of your normal sized shelves out there. And you can put any number of games. It s really a swiss army knife of game disappointment a great way to display something when you don t have a bunch of floorspace.
But you have a bunch of wall space is a floating shelf and these floating shelves are acrylic and clear and they re really small and pretty close to the wall. So they don t take up too much space from the wall. And they work great for nes games as well i ve used them for a bunch of different types of cartridges and nes is no exception to that they go on there they look great you can fit approximately three on. There.
If you really wanted to have an extra one kind of hang off the side of the shelf. You could fit four onto each shelf and the pack comes in a pack of three different shelves. And i just really love these they re really thick acrylic. They re super solidly made and i really appreciate the value there and the quality of these items.
So i definitely recommend taking a look into these and seeing if they re still available. They re very good for displaying different cartridges and game collectibles..
They re a really good buy. I recently got a stand from a company called bit lounger which i talked about in a previous video. And this stand will fit one single nes cartridge and i really like having an individual stand for one cartridge because a lot of times. You ll want to put a bunch of your nes games just on the shelf.
And then you just want to show off one cart that you really like or it s your favorite game or has really cool artwork it could even be a bad game. But just have really awesome artwork on it and you want to display it out front of your collection and this stand is a really good way to go. It s super high quality completely made of acrylic and put together perfectly by this company that really cares about their games. I m really impressed with bit lounger and what they ve made so far so we definitely recommend going and checking it out now a lot of the things that i talk about are immediately available on amazon or ebay or elsewhere.
But i think it s a good idea to keep in mind that a lot of these displays were made in the past and when these consoles were available. They were making a bunch of different stands and displays and storage units for these games for the nes. I ve come across this wooden display that was recommended to me and it actually spins and holds a ton of different games. And it also has a beautiful carving into the top of mario.
I definitely recommend picking this up. If you see it they are kind of rare and hard to come by and can be very expensive..
I also picked up two other stands very recently haven t quite gotten a chance to clean them yet they re both for nes and one is wall mountable and this one s more of your typical stand holds a bunch of games. But it looks really cool on the wall or on a shelf. And the last of these older units that i ve come across is this kind of drawer display. And it holds controllers it ll hold your zapper and that s all in the top shelf.
But the bottom shelf holds a ton of different games this allows you to have a lot of different games packed into a very small space it really opens up a lot of your collection for displaying different games and different things that are in your collection. So it s a really good idea to really look towards the past and a bunch of these different display units that they had out there and just keep your eyes open for those as well as those games. That you re collecting and the last display that i want to talk about came from a company called cinco play games on etsy. And they 3d print.
These awesome stands they look something like an you don t really understand how they work until you realize that at the top of each little tier of this there s a little clip that will hang on to the actual board on the nes cartridge and that ll allow you to put six different games. On here and have them be the complete focus of your collection as opposed to the actual stand itself. If you see a bunch of these stack next to each other and i ll attach a picture from his actual collection of a bunch of these it looks enormous it s amazing to see these because it really forms a tiered display to your liking allows you to get as many of these as you need for your collection. And really display all of your artwork and i think that s fantastic.
He s also got these available in black and white now and that kind of allows you to work with whatever shelf color you went with typically people are going with the black shelf or a white shelf. This will really allow it to kind of blend in with that as well for the footing part of it but for the most part..
I really like these because it s an ingenious design it focuses heavily on the actual cartridge itself. And it s just beautiful works on most shelves that you have it works on top of different things it looks great wherever you put it it s a really ingenious design from another game collector out there that s making these for pretty inexpensive for the most part so i definitely recommend checking out cinco play games if you get a chance so thanks for coming by discard today.
