‘s going on guys scott coming at you with another magic of the other video video in today’s video. We’ll be diving into some decks that are going be coming to imagine the gathering arena. If you’re a new player or player.
Who’s just recently started managing together arena. You had to go through the whole new player trial. Pretty much and play through a bunch of magic gathering games to kind of unlock.
The starter decks and eventually unlock multi colored decks. So i actually ran across a post on reddit as i was kind of searching because i heard that there was some news and i was searching for the other video where i was talking about the news uh. The new deck.
The new packs that they’re coming out with for zendikar ryzen and i was just curious if they you know announced anything else that may have not been picked up by the news and i didn’t think this would be something that maybe like news outlets or gaming outlets would pick up on for md mtg as a whole just because it’s something that really only affects like mtg arena. Exclusively and something like brand brand new like the cards that you’re gonna be seeing in the decks that i’m gonna be doing in this video aren’t anything that you haven’t seen before maybe they’re cards that you can’t technically get from the packs themselves uh. But overall these cards are cards that are already in the game.
But imagine the gatherings just doing a quick update to the new player experience by upgrading the decks to something that is standard uh current. So the one thing. I would suggest if you guys want to go ahead and create these decks uh you’re free to do so.
But if you want to wait. I’m not sure hundred percent when these decks will be released into arena. But uh.
These decks are gonna be eventually available to everybody um as just having uh you know been playing mtg arena. As a new starter weight experience. So with that being said guys if you like this video hit that like button.
If you want to post more videos hit that subscribe button. But let’s dive into these decks and kind of see what they’re doing all right so. The one thing.
I will say here is if you kind of see here. There’s a couple decks. I actually don’t have the cards for but every other starter deck.
I do have all the cards for overall um. There are 10 new multi color starters. I also saw in this reddit post that there is also going to be five uh you know basic standard colored decks like you know the five key colors.
Which is mono color. So there’s also be a total of 15 new starter decks into mtg arena for the new player experience and they kind of range from different color combinations of you know mono color to dual colors. There’s no there’s no tri color uh decks it looks like so in this video.
We’re gonna go across the first five and then i’ll probably make a part two we’ll go across the other five. I’ll leave all the links for these decks in the description down below. So if you guys want to check the decks out themselves kind of pull them into arena kind of to see what you may already own from these decks kind of see what else is coming together to kind of give yourself a better understanding of what there is to come to mtg arena.
Also the other thing too i noticed that um from the the reddit post. I’ll also leave a link for that in the description below if you want to look at it yourself. The wizards of the coast employee.
Did say that did actually comment on this uh reddit post. Saying that some of these lists aren’t finalized. I’m sure they’re probably tweaking just you know numbers maybe or overall.
You know consistency of these decks. Because i mean the the one thing with starter decks. You always want to give a player.
A new like that’s new to the game or someone who’s just starting out kind of decent uh. You know decent experience. When it comes to jumping into magic together maybe for the first time or just online in mtg arena for the first time so.
That’s the other thing too. But enough said guys i’m going to hop into the first deck. Which is going to be the new simic starter and we’re going to just kind of go down the list across the top and then the ones.
I’m kind of blocking currently are they gonna be the ones. We’re gonna be doing in the next video. So the one thing to note before we go into this if you guys are new to magic the other arena.
You maybe we don’t know what the rotation is but every september uh. They do a rotation. Where certain sets that measures together kind of rotate out to kind of refresh.
The meta. For standard uh. So we will be losing stuff from roti from mtg arena in a sense that will be standard legal in september.
I think it’s the 17th of september or the 24th. I think one of the dates is like the pre release for like the physical mtg uh game in like the world and then like the other ones for arena. But overall.
What we’re going to be losing is we’re going to be losing everything from gil’s around the cut to core 2020. So we’ll be losing all these sets.

So all these cards are actually gonna be completely out of the standard uh. The standard uh block of cards you can work with to build standard decks with so just know if you are creating decks currently you probably want to not go heavy and focus on crafting these cards sure you can still use them in mtg arena. It’s just that you’ll be only be able to play in historic mode.
So if you’re looking to get into standard these are cards you’re probably going to want to avoid for try to find replacements currently uh. But anything from throw level drain to m20 uh m21. You’re going to be good to go for and when xender car rise and comes out it’ll be another set that you can work with to kind of make uh decks out of so enough being said about that just kind of give you an idea of what rotation is and kind of what to expect these decks are going to include anything from thunderbolt drain.
All the way up to core 2021. So everything here you’ll see in these decks uh. You may see a mixture of a little bit more from one set than the other but these sex over have a combination of a little bit of everything to kind of just give you that little bit of flavor for that each of these said spring.
The one thing i will notice uh from what i saw is a lot of these decks do kind of go into like certain types of archetypes that are you know brought into these sets so like for example if you’re playing like rakdos like the rakdos deck. That’s a starter deck is kind of like a sacrifice deck. So with that being said enough talking about let’s just dive into the civic deck let’s get through this i don’t want to make the video.
Too too long and i also be breaking this video into separate parts. So if you want to kind of skip ahead into like a certain color scheme that you’re more familiar with uh definitely do that as well so to start off. We are in the new simic starter overall.
The deck is pretty interesting it does run a lot of twos and threes and you know ones of uh. They are only giving you one rare so that’s the one thing. That is as being a star deck.
They typically don’t give you a set of cards especially rares to kind of get yourself started so. If you want to upgrade the deck. The first thing you probably want to do is upgrade.
You know particular cards that are working well they’re very good. Which would be the rares maybe some of uncommons and they kind of go from there and kind of figure out where you want to go. But overall.
The deck is pretty interesting on what it’s trying to do this deck is a simic kind of like bulky kind of back up back end so a lot of the cards are trying to rank you up to get to that bulky you know big creatures to finish up the game so it’s like a semi ramp deck in a way but not the typical stomach ramp that you see like in the meta currently it’s like a little bit different just because some of those cards are going to be rotated out this is trying to do something a little bit different in that essence so to first start off. We got the witch and well it’s a thing that just you know costs one mana. It’s an artifact allows you to describe and you can type four you can draw two cards so it’s pretty good in that sense decent good card to kind of give you some interaction of a coming to battle uh effect as well as giving it a later game where you can tap four man and sacrifice to draw some mana you have to almighty brush back the one thing.
I also say is that a lot of the decks that have green have this card in it i don’t know why maybe just think he’s the cutest little bush brush swag ever but he’s in this deck. He’s got two copies of him he’s got trampoli’s tap ability that you can have four and given plus. A plus three.
So he can become a four four trample. Then you got ram through it’s a you know wait for green to do some damage to some creatures. If you have some bigger uh higher end creatures you can have them deal damage to a creature to remove them from the battlefield.
That the creature has trampled then does the excess damage over that uh to that per. The person who controls that creature so definitely good spot removal card for green especially if we’re going big. We’ll full heaven to allow us to increase the amount of production that we have of our lands.
It makes our lands be to be able to tap for additional green and as well as in the late game. If we really don’t need that additional mana. We can always sacrifice this enchantment by tapping five and get a two to wolf uh token.
So that’s also pretty interesting. We’ve got a mirror leaf pixie. Which is a two cost two two with flying you can tap down for uh green or blue.
But it’s also good that it’s a two two flyer for two so. That’s actually not that bad um. And just creates that little bit of tap down for some additional uh.
Additional mana then we got cultivate it’s another card from m21. It’s not rare. I just have i just participated in that timeless event that they did in mtg arena.
So i got the alternate art version um. But this is actually if we go to this. And we just take off the cultivate.
It’s it’s an uncommon so if you want you can always get the normal version of the deck. The normal version of cultivate and maybe build up that it’s just another card that allows us to search our library for two basic land cards get to put one into our battlefield tap. The other one to our hand.
And we have to shuffle. Our library. It’s definitely a good card to help you ramp up then we got fully grown.
Which is like a giant growth. Kind of effect and as well it puts a trampoline counter on a creature that we control so it gets a plus three plus three and trample uh and then that creature pretty much has trampled. Because now has a trample counter.
So it’s a way to get that additional damage in maybe. The setup. Maybe a ram through later in the game.
But definitely a good way to pump up the creature and give it trample then more visionary. Another card that ramps as well as it does draws the card.

So we play it we get a card out of it and then maybe down the line. We get to use it to pump uh to tap down to hopefully play one of our bigger creatures. Then their snapper is a four mana four four and then when we cast this follow.
The convertible cost. Five are greater with the draw card. So just a good way to kind of draw a little bit deeper into our deck.
Just as we get as you kind of see here when we get to the five and higher drops um. We are we are we do play quite a few of them our goal is to kind of get to this point and actually you know play these things. And then you can kind of get some card advantage back for playing things elder gargo.
Roth is another card. It’s a five calls from m21. It is a mythic uh.
This is the mythic of the deck has vigilance reached trample and whenever attacks are blocked you get a three three beast you get the game three life or you get the draw card uh. So definitely a cool utility card you can attack in with vigilance give it gain draw a card you can get some life. If you play against something a little more aggressive or you can you know guess creative 3 3.
And try to go wide on your opponent. Definitely a good card um overall and especially in the star deck. It’s definitely a good starter card.
Because it has a lot of powerful abilities that you get right off the bat next card up is keeper of the fables. Another five costs four five and whenever one or more non human creatures deal common damage to a player you get the draw card. So just another way for our creatures.
If we hit our opponent in the face. We get some draw effects out of it to draw a little bit deeper into our deck. Hopefully finish out the game uh.
This deck can probably go off in a way that you could probably swing with three four or five creatures. Maybe some of them have trampled and then you’re getting all this damage to your opponent and you get to draw all these cards so definitely cool serpent of beyond in depths 6x serpent. Uh cracking leviathans octopuses and serpents you control can’t be blocked by except by krakens leviathans octopus and serpents.
I think this is a card that is exclusively from uh theros uh arrow starters that you get from a code. So you actually have to craft it if you want an mdg arena. But this is a car coming in with the new starter decks.
It allows you to have a 66. That’s pretty much unblockable um. And i we do play a whale.
So i think that also counts. I think they count a whale as leviathan. I’m not 100 sure.
But definitely cool card with a little bit unblockable. It’s kind of like another way to kind of get some free damage in it unless they’re playing the same exact deck sublime empty anthony is another cool utility like multi like choose multiple things counter spell. Because it counters target spell it kind of target activated trigger.
Ability so you can actually counter you know coming into play abilities counted planeswalkers like their their triggers. You can also return target online. Permit to its owner’s hands create a token of target creature.
You control. So you get another. Garga garga.
Roth. Um. You can also draw a card.
So this card is literally choose one or more. So you can do a whole bunch of things when you play it so you can counter something and then on top of it do a couple other things maybe slow down your opponent completely uh. Another card from n21 pretty pretty cool to see that in here.
Then we have colga a six cos seven six. I mean just about i feel like it’s a target creature. We don’t control and then whenever it attacks you get to destroy artifact and shipment dependent player controls and then we can tap to return target human.
We control through our hand. And he gets indestructible down to turn so i don’t know how many humans we play. But definitely cool like he fights a creature so it’s another removal he gets to destroy any artifacts or enchantments when he attacks 76 pretty decent body definitely a good way to get in for some damage okay.
Maybe the whale is not unblockable. But the whale’s interesting too because when whenever the whale enters the battlefield each opponent creates a 1 1 red pirate creature token this creature can’t block and creatures you control attack each turn of fable. So what this does if our opponent has creatures and they’re kind of sitting back.
But they’re not really attacking in we can actually this card here forces our opponent to now attack in um. Which is definitely interesting because a lot of our creatures are very large. So our opponent will have to tack into these larger creatures and allows us to kind of set up blocks the way we want to the other thing too is our opponent.
If they want to get rid of this they would have to pay an additional three mana. More to actually cast the spell that they’re trying to remove this with directly a board wipe still will remove this card.

But they’ll have to probably drop something that’s going to wipe the whole board and not just like something that you know removes some moves uh you know creature cards with converted mana costs x or less or something like that beanstalk giant another good card and a little bit of ramp. It’s a three mana ramp that allows us to search our library for a lan card uh basically a card puts it on the battlefield not tapped actually on the battlefield and then we get to shuffle. Our library and then we can bring it in later in the game for a seven mana creature.
Where the power of deafness equals. The number of lanes. We control so hopefully by this point.
We got seven turn seven maybe we have seven mana. It’s a seven seven automatically thrown mammoth another interesting creature too whenever another creature enters the battlefield under your control this fights one creature. We don’t control so it has a trigger ability every time.
We play a creature it fights something so it’s a good way to other spot removal and the mana base is pretty straightforward. It’s 25 lanes uh. 10 islands 11 forests actually it’s 26 lands.
Most of the cards have most of these decks have anywhere between 24 and 26 so 10 lands. 11 forest one temple and four thorn falls overall. This is a pretty interesting deck it seems pretty fun i mean definitely there’s ways to in avenues to to upgrade.
It i just haven’t been able to play with it kind of see where i want to upgrade you don’t want to go super aggressive into the end game. But i would probably look at ways to you know kind of help the ramp of the deck. You know go a little bit faster.
So maybe try to cut down on the early game. And just try to focus on playing and game creatures and stuff like that but overall cool deck next up up. We have is a dimir uh deck.
It’s kind of interesting here this one is actually a dimir mutate slash controlly kind of deck in the way that it is has things with flash. It has things to mutate. It has things to kind of slow down your opponent.
And it kind of has some interesting ways to finish out the game so overall this deck is pretty straightforward. It plays a lot of things with mutated if you kind of just don’t know those things off the bat right on the list. But there’s a few things in here that actually you know have benefits when we mutate and there’s things that you know we can play in at instant speed so to start it off.
We got certain dismissal. Which is an instant speed spell that allows us to return target creature enchantment opponent controls to their hand. So we can kind of bounce.
Something as a flash speed you know later later down the line. If you have them lying around or you already have them in your collection you always play brazen borrower right off the bat is something that really comes to mind as something that you probably want to maybe throw. In here.
Just has a a different a multi tool like card that has two different effects. Then we got the mr. Mysterious egg or the mothra’s great cocoon.
I just have the alternate arc. Because i bought the packs back when the set release. But whenever it mutates you get a plus one plus one counter.
So this is a decent zero two slows down maybe something a little bit aggressive. That plays like one wants to try to swing in um. It can get bigger the more we mutate it probably like symbiote.
It’s another uh card from ikoria it pretty much whenever you mutate. We it makes our mutates cheaper and whenever we mutate um. We can draw a card and discard a card.
So it gives us a way to dig a little bit deeper. Then we have boot nipper and she’s about filled with a choice of death touch or life counter on it so definitely cool you know you can make a 2 1. Blocker.
With death touch or death to one life link or maybe our opponent is now going to think again if they want to give us life. If they’re going to swing in for damage. Heartless act for some spot removal.
Unexpected fangs for a plus on plus encounter and lifelink on target creature. So cool way to kind of like just pump a creature for a little bit and give it a little bit of life link made for that additional plus. One plus.
One and also you know additional one uh. What additional life forever. The power of the creature seed extra octopus uh.
A one of in here. Has flash. Uh flash mutates so we play this at instant speed.
So we can swing in if our opponent doesn’t block mutated on that creature and now that creature has whenever it deals combat damage to a player we get to draw a card um definitely a cool card definitely something i would play more of if i have them already in my inventory. Um and with that with the polyeximia. This is actually mutate for one.
If you want to play for the mutate costs instead of the actual card costs if you play for the car costs. I think the this one this one costs you know still three.

I got tomb raider. Another flyer and just about if you like to draw a card. Just a three cost probably something i would probably cut back on maybe add more seed after octopuses so you cut back on two of these add another you know two more seed after octopuses or place.
I think these equal out. I mean granted this has fly in it is a fairy. But i think this overall ability is much better than the one time draw a card on entering the battlefield.
You got the durge bat uh. Another card from aquarius flash flying mutate for six whenever. This creature mutates just destroy target creature or planeswalker point of controls.
So even if you’ve already mutated this onto something you can then mutate. It again it’ll trigger the stability. Again and whatever other mutates on if you haven’t played mutate before it’s kind of interesting on what it’s trying to accomplish with that also it’s a 3 3.
Flyer with flash speed so you can play this instantly. And you know create a flyer block here for opponent things they can get maybe for a couple points of damage in the air in stable hammer phase. Cause three three with that touch meteor three and whenever this creature mutates loses each opponent loses x life you gain x life for x number of times.
This creature is mutated. So more times. This creature mutates.
You know you get the idea the more and more damage. It does if you haven’t played mutated decks. The it’s like usually a lot of things have stacking mutate abilities on how that works you get a tris oracle.
The half truth. This is another interesting card it’s a one of uh it has menace. But when enters the battlefield their opponent has opponent gets three cards and they have to decide uh put two two of them face up or face down.
And put one of them the other way and then pretty much we get to um our puts uh. Two puts uh one face up pile one face down pile. He gets to choose out of the three cards.
I’m gonna go face up and i’m gonna go face down and it’s kind of like a gamble our opponent can give us two lands and put something good face down or vice versa. It can be like kind of like a pickup. What box is better definitely interesting ability it’s a good way to kind of get some extra cards usually sometimes i take the two cards just because having two additional cars in your hand for a cost of one car is actually sometimes good sometimes they even need the lanes unless.
It’s late game. Maybe we take the one card. We take a risk and see what happens we get the dreamtail heron.
Another flash fly or no not flyer another mutate card uh with flying and whatever the switch maintains we get to draw a card. So having a card that uh whenever. It mutates.
Draws an additional card is always good uh as we have a lot of mutates. This is definitely something that could probably trigger multiple times passing short shark. A good way to bounce our opponent’s creatures back to their hand for a flash speed that’s a four three so definitely something that’s possible and we only cost four to mutate at flash speed.
So it’s like a four cost four three mutate f flash. And then bounce it back to their hand. And if we have poly white symbol to counteract this we’re also drawing a card out of it and then if it’s mated on something that has another ability you know you’re stacking.
These mutatabilities and as you can kind of see these things are kind of building up to something bigger and bigger. Then we got the underworld sentinel uh. This is a card that i guess is from uh from pharaohs.
I had to take a second. I guess you only got it in starters or something like that or from code. And it whenever it attacks excel target card from our graveyard.
Whenever it dies. Put all excel cards onto the battlefield. So our opponent kind of wants to block this.
But they don’t want to kill it and if they do kill it we get all the cards that were underneath it are in exile from this onto the battlefield. So definitely um interesting card i haven’t played with it i don’t have any copies of it just because like i said. I think it’s an exclusive card that’s from a code or from physical mtg uh that i have not gotten and then children harvester.
Another interesting card here it’s a five cost uh mutate or six cross creature. Whenever the future mutates each point sacrifices this creature. Because we have a ton of things we mutate this thing could probably trigger multiple times.
We’re going to opponent sacrifice multiple creatures. Even if we have this on the battlefield. We can put cheap mutates onto it and which this will then trigger multiple times that way locking your serpent.
Another interesting card here. It’s a flash seven seven four six mana you can sacrifice an island. It can’t be blocked this term.
We can sacrifice a swamp. We get the draw we get the game one life.

We get the draw card and we can also tap two we can exile five cards from opponent’s graveyard return it from there from our graveyard to our hand activate this only disability anytime. We we control a sorcery so and if our opponent does kill it off we can always get it back from our graveyard for two mana by excellent five of their cards definitely interesting. But we have to do it on our turn.
Because it’s only sorcery speed and archipelago is another card here that kind of finishes off the game. Because what it does is a six cost uh mutate or seven costs. Creature.
Seven seven. Whenever. The screen takes you tap x.
Target. Creature x.’s number times this you try to mutate.
It and those creatures can’t untap during their controllers on tap steps so if they don’t have any creatures we can tap them down swinging for the finishing game. And it’s another crowd that just has mutate then you get the email of loathing uh. That’s a seven cost seven seven flying trampler whenever gamer load then deals common damage to a player that player sacrifices a creature so just another card that makes our opponent sacrifice.
It’s seven cost seven seven another. I think exclusive card to having theros behind the starters or something um definitely interesting card maybe decent. But overall it’s a decent card and then 10 islands 11 swamps.
Four dismal backwaters and one double. The seat. So another 26 mana deck.
So overall pretty cool deck to another cool starter deck to play with so the next deck up is going to be a golgari deck. It’s pretty interesting here because the deck is a mixture of mill stuff to your graveyard sacrifice your things. And what you’re trying to do here is kind of fill your graveyard up trying to get these things back later in the game.
Um. And then things also that help. But that benefit from you putting things in your favor.
That have like uh escape and things like that so overall. This is pretty interesting. I did actually play around with this it’s kind of interesting just because the matchups.
I got were a little weird uh just based on it i don’t think the fdg client really knows where to fit this deck. When it comes to actually physically playing the deck. But overall this deck is pretty cool.
It’s pretty fun has some cool little tricks and stuff um and i was actually holding my own against a pretty decent uh soul tie control deck that i think our opponent just didn’t know what to do with it just because i was playing weird things that they probably have never seen before so that is something so to start off this deck is starting off with two village rates. It’s it’s a pretty new cool spell from m21 that allows us to sacrifice a creature uh to play the additional cost and we get to draw two cards so sacrifice one of our creatures. We can sacrifice the token.
We have to draw two cards meyer trite in a 2 1. Death touch one enters battlefield. We mill two cards.
We need two life’s a cool way to gain some life puts put a 2 1. Death toucher on the battlefield. Which our opponent may not want to attack into because it can kill pretty much anything he deals damage to so definitely.
Another cool card order a midnight a card to get something back from our game right to our hand. And then we can tap two and play a two two flyer that can’t block that’s the only downfall to it. But it’s pretty cool that we can kind of get something back from our great red for only two mana creature creature wise not anything just creatures let me give the strength another two costs three three gives our creature tran uh plus three plus three in reach um.
It’s a decent card. I think there was something in one of the simic decks. I can’t remember the name of the card.
But i think giving something to trample counter is probably better if it’s the same mana cost. But another cool car that’s in this deck to give something a little bit of you know spot something out of the air in case. They’re trying to fly over you in case.
They put something like zory’s flyers or something. Like that skull profit two cost three one uh. It’s a mana producer or we can tap it and we can also mill cards.
So if we’re trying to fill up our graveyard to maybe escape something later uh. It’s definitely a cool card like that um. I think fiend art is going to be an interesting card in this deck just because it benefits from us spinning creatures in the graveyard.
So there’s quite a few creatures in here that we could definitely benefit from actually you know putting creatures in her deck death bloom phthaliad. It’s a three class 32. When it dies.
It creates a one way green sapling token. So just a cool card that kind of you know if it dies. We get something at least in return if it falls out the battlefield.
If they wait board wipe. We at least have some one ones that we can do something with you know put a village rights on one of the one ones in case.

You know our opponent has something bigger dig a little bit deeper overall interesting card demand. I can brace another card for m21 if you haven’t if you’ve been playing anything in the meta. Something monoblack runs to kind of try to fly like a dinosaur at you to do like 10 damage in the air.
Because because that creature plus three plus one and flying it’s a demon to its other types and we can uh cast the amount of brace from our graveyard. But pain three life and discarding a card in additional pain its other cost. So definitely a cool way to get this thing back in case.
Our creature dies that has on it murderous writer. Another spot removal card here uh has a swift end which is a story tiger creature planeswalker. We lose to life and then we can play for its three costs uh life linker when it enters when it dies.
We get to put on the bottom of our library. So it never really dies. It’s always going to go back into our library as long as it dies.
Then we’re visionary. Another card that draws some cards at samana three costs uh help us help us ramp up a little bit to some of our later top end of the deck drag to underworld. We play a decent amount of black and uh green.
So this is actually something that we probably will get to two mana to destroy target creature for two instance speed from icoria theros nightmare. Shepherd also another fun card um it’s a 4 4 flyer that costs four whenever non token creature we control dies we have to we may exile it if we do we get a copy of that creature onto the battlefield. That’s a 1 1.
And that’s a nightmare into its other types. So if there’s something we don’t really want to lose. And we just kind of want to make triggers happen again we can always play a nightmare.
Shepard and make a copy of something then we got arista then the swept. It’s a four cost three five it has reach whenever i put a cast an instead of source spell we get a one two green spider token with reach uh. It’s definitely a big body.
It’s something that our opponent can’t really burn down directly. They’ll have to kind of like use multiple spells to get rid of it and the fact that whenever they play spells. If they’re trying to get rid of it with spells.
We get a creature out of it in that process. The alkylated affliction is a four cost uh two three when it enters the battlefield. We get the middle two cards then we get the return target a permanent card from our gateway to our hand.
So it kind of fills our graveyard up and we get something back in return so if there’s something we want to recur like a spell or not a spell. But like a you know creature uh. We can always get it back and then have it in our hand and play it from our hand some of the escape cards are actually cheaper you know they’re cheaper when we play it from our hand.
We don’t have to burn all the cards in our graveyard to replay it boring our lurker another card that mutates and we get to return target card from our graveyard to our hands. We give this one this one we get back a spell. It costs.
Four to get a a four four mutate guy um definitely cool cards or four four four four. But the mutated ability to get a particular card back from our gamer. It’s pretty cool you have palutronos.
This is an interesting card here because it’s a four mana six six uh if it escapes. It has 1212 if it would dealt damage prevent put uh well it has a plus one plus. One counter on it to prevent that damage remove that many plus compliment splint counters.
We can tap three. We can also fight creatures so it’s another spot removal card and that way that we can fight something to just kill. It and then kind of get through for some damage it does get weaker every time it gets dealt damage so it will always be a six six or twelve twelve but definitely cool that later in the game.
If it does die and we have to bring it back. We get a 12 12 out of it uh next heart up after that is a twin blade assassin this card’s pretty interesting too it’s a card from m21 at the beginning of our n7. If the creature died this time.
We could draw a card. So even if our opponent’s creatures died we get to draw a card to five four four five mana. Definitely cool little concept uh with the spot removal and things having death touch.
We definitely can kill a few of our opponents things and definitely get some car drill out of it it’s definitely cool on that way back for more another it’s a six cost instant. I wish to turn target creatures guard from our greater to the battlefield when you do it fights up to one creature. We don’t control so we can always get back up with lupinos we can always get back you know twin blade or anything like that or even something with that touch and it will fight something you cannot it can always kill it i think at the tree shaker chimer it’s seven cost eight five uh all creatures able to block it do so uh whenever it dies we get to draw three cards so this is something we could also get back back from more uh.
Just on the basis that we if regardless if this dies from that back for more we get three cars out of it maybe we’ll draw another back for more overall cool card. It’s another card. I think from the starters that i guess i crafted for something i don’t know why.
But i already had a copy of it so i just went with it and the mana base. Here is also 25 lands. 10.
Swamps. 10 fours. Four jungle.
Hollows and one temple of ladies. So overall.

I mean the decks are looking like they have x amount of rares and it looks like anywhere from five to like six and occasionally there’s a mythic in there i guess if the if it’s like the overall story that they’re trying to do for these decks and the next deck up in this new starter list here is a new celestia starter deck. It actually focuses on adventure. If you haven’t seen already it actually kind of looks similar to the list.
I kind of ran in the draft that i actually just recently posted uh over the weekend. Um overall. What the goal here is it plays closing cards a lot of things have adventure on them.
So there’s things to get additional triggers of getting cars that draw making things bigger. When when you play things with adventure creatures. So really that gets pretty straightforward.
And what it’s trying to do here. So. The first card up is the fairy guide mother.
It’s a one cost one one flyer uh. Does have the ability of tap two. We can give target creature.
Plus. Two plus one you can swing to underturn just for that additional damage. So definitely a cool card.
There it’s sorcery speed. So we do have to play through our first main. If we’re going to swing in with it we can’t really play it in response to something.
But cool in that sense uh. We got giant killer destroy star creature power for our greater for three mana or we can play it as its one cause one two ability with the ability to tap two mana and tap it to tap target creatures are definitely a good way to slow down our opponents. Big things that we can’t really you know take damage from edge.
While inkeeper. Whenever we catch a creature spill that has a venture draw a card it doesn’t have it doesn’t need to have gone on its adventure at first so that’s the one thing. So it doesn’t have to play the first half in order to play the second half you can just play the card.
If you want to play the card to get the card drawn out of it shepherd flock a card that allows us to return to our permit. We control to our hand. So we want to you know get like something like a fairy guided mother back to our hand to maybe just replay.
Its ability again it’s a cool card to do something like that you can kind of come up with things like that maybe you want to replay a love shark beast. Because they got they got rid of our one ones. You don’t have one of one for it so you can tap one play the one one bring play replay the love truck beast token so on and so forth silver flame squire it’s a two cost two one um.
It has the ability to tap three mana type target critics plus two plus two until in turn on tap. It’s a good way to kind of you know swing in with a card. And then kind of like you know deal damage to your opponent or creature.
And then untap. It and you know allow it to be as a blocker on the return guaranteer. This is a car that actually gets bigger every time we play uh creature with an adventure gets plus one plus one it doesn’t need to have gone on the adventure first it’s the one tool tip here that in case.
You don’t know you can play the cards regardless. But this is something that does get bigger. It’s definitely something that can get in for some damage if they’re not you know they don’t really protect from it bronze headlines.
Another cool card here. It’s three three four two mana type two management destructible intended turn when it dies. You have to return to the battlefield.
It’s an enchantment with the you know enchant creature. You control has the ability to gain instructional in turn and it loses all other abilities. But it’s cool in the sense that it does you know give the creature indestructible.
So we can swing in give it instructable and hopefully get in or some damage lucky clover. It makes our adventures uh the adventure side of the cards all trigger multiple times. So a car that we play two of uh allows you know things like pumping creatures and things like that happen twice.
So maybe getting a little bit more aggressive and doing a little bit more damage our veil tactician. We get to tap target. Two creatures um and then it’s a two three flyer for three so it’s a definitely cool way to get over.
But a way to tap down our points. Things if we don’t want them to swing in before their attack. Step vanish on light for spot removal uh definitely a good way to get rid of something really really big that you can’t really handle you don’t have an answer for um.
And then this allows us to kind of like you know slow the game down. A little bit more into our piece. This mysterious path later that’s the three class two two flyer um each creature.
We control that has an adventure and just about additional plus one plus one counters which is good which makes our you know adventure cards get that little bit bigger so allows us you know maybe not have them die instantly love. Shark beast. It’s a one of it creates a one one token on its adventure side.
And it’s a three cause five five. But it can’t attack unless.

We have something that has one one uh definitely a very strong car combine that with the mysterious path later that that that love strike piece now comes. In as a six six. Something our opponent.
Really has to take care of wandermere at three cost three three and then we’re casting creature spell that has a venture put a plus. One postal counter on it uh so that stays so this wonder mirror can actually get very very big very very quickly as you can tell a lot of our cards have adventure. So definitely a way for our cards to just get ridiculously big that have you know venture triggers um.
Then we got the oak ham ranger. It’s a four cost two two uh we can tap four mana get two one one soldier tokens on battlefield uh. We can tap one player for its creature.
Things we can tap it down it creatures we control get plus. One plus one so it gives our you know our attacking that additional damage. Victory envoy at the beginning of our upkeep.
Give the plus. A plus one counter each creature control. Which is good but in the sense that it’s not always good because the one ones then get.
Plus. Some postal counters and our you know our love shark beast. Can’t attack.
But a card. That is also part of like that list of cards that you can’t get physically impacts mtg arena that you’d have to buy physical magic for all right scale hydra is a five cost high five. If the creature would do damage to higher skill hydra prevent that damage.
One puzzle. Plus. One counter on it so a cool way that pretty much prevents combat damage to it um.
It just gets bigger for equal to uh prevent the damage. But a plus one plus one counter on it so it’s just a way that it gets a five five that gets bigger um just a. You know bigger board our bigger body uh and then you get the rim clock giant.
The seven cost seven seven vigilance. But has the five costs uh destroy all non giant creatures so a good way to wipe the board. If our opponents overwhelming us.
I know it may wipe some of our things. But a good way to you know just slow down. The board reset and then maybe get this back in later in the game.
Deco roll. Is pretty straightforward in mana. 10.
Planes and fours four blooming blossom and sands and one temple are plenty or while the second is pretty fun in a limited sense in like a new player sense. It was pretty fun in the draft. I did fairly well against other decks that were similar not really sure how this stacks up against the meta uh.
But that is the seleznia deck. And the last checkup is a rakto stack here for this video uh. This one is a sacrifice deck overall.
It’s an interesting deck just because it’s not the typical sacrifice deck that you’ve seen that’s rakdos. It doesn’t play any uh cats. It’s not playing any priests.
Because those are rotated out so this is doing like sacrifice in like a different way and like a more like way. That’s i guess new player friendly. It has a couple interesting cards in here that definitely do a couple of things uh first card up is that uh lash at thorns.
The one cost instant you have target creature. Plus. Two plus one against that touch so something that you know attack blocks.
We can always throw something in front of it given plus two plus one and some deathtouch so that it dies in the process. Sorry to scorpion uh. One two a good way to you know do two damage to an opponent.
If it dies and then we getting to life in that if you already just get that little bit extra damage in if we want to make sure we save something or we just want to get that little three points of extra damage to our point in its face discord and piper so two costs two one whenever it dies. We get a zero one goat. It’s a good sacrifice fighter.
So us getting the goat is definitely good and that we get something when something dies heartless act for some spot removal blood aspirant from uh is another good card whenever you sacrifice a perm we get a plus one plus one counter on him we can tap two tap him sacrifice creature or enchantment. It deals one damage to target creature. And that creature can’t block.
So it’s a good way to maybe spot removal. Something that’s a one one or a token and then we get plus. One plus one because it sacrificed something so it gets even bigger careless celebrant deals two damage whenever it dies.
The dlc damage target creature planeswalker that opponent controls so another card that if it blocks something and they can you know throw the two damage somewhere else definitely cool card fire prophecy is another burn spell that we have in the deck. It’s three costs three damage darker creature.

Let me put a card from our hand on the bottom of our library and then we can draw a card to replace it so definitely cool in that way for brilliant friendship is another cool card. It creates two one one tokens that we can either you know swing into our opponent’s face so we can sacrifice for any of the cards that have sacrificed abilities. But we get a one one red dinosaur and one white token.
The dinosaur has haste so that’s definitely cool in that sense throw the possibility as a way to start you know remove some you know discard a card. We have two new cards at instant speed definitely cool croxa to help our opponent discard cards. So that that our opponent has to make some choices um and then they if they don’t discard an online card.
They lose life um and then we get to tap four and exile five cards we get to bring them back as a six six. And it’s only two mana to play so definitely cool slaughter priest of mogus. Another card here that whenever we sacrifice a permanent gets plus two put zero tone in turn has an ability to tap just two men of any color.
You can sacrifice another creature or enchantment it gets first strike and until the turn so if we sacrifice something from him. He’s gonna get plus equal to zero. And first strike.
If we play the two and then combine that with our well that aspirant that’s gonna get bigger. So there’s things to get bigger as we sacrifice things so first crusader. It’s a way to dig a little bit deeper uh our opponent does draw a card out of this.
But it’s a way that you know we dig a little bit deeper opponent maybe not be able to take that one point of damage. If we get very aggressive on them. It’s definitely cool in that sense lillian is standard bear.
It’s a cool car that with flash and we can flash it in if we sacrifice multiple creatures uh we could draw x cards or exit. Number creatures that had died under our control. This turn.
So if we sacrifice a couple tokens to some things play this uh. We can definitely draw some cards to replace some of the things we may have lost road shredder. A car that you may have seen in rakto stacks.
It creates a goat token. We can tap it or we can you know activate it and we can sacrifice a creature. We can describe one so if they’re trying to spot removal.
Something else we’ll sack our response. We’ll get a scry out of it and we have five. We can escape it from our graveyard uh.
It gets two additional plus and plus counters because some big so it comes back as a five four dire fleet warmonger another card here at the bean of our combat. When we second percent of the creature. If we do it gets plus two plus two and trample combine up with everything else.
That has sacrifice triggers. So definitely a good way to get some additional damage each extinction exa exile. Target creature planeswalker like the top part of our library.
We put that card into our graveyard. So we get to kind of remove something or exile. Something and then we get to throw something on our graveyard.
If we don’t like it tectonic giant another cool card here. It’s a three four uh and when it becomes the target. I spell an opponent controls we get to choose one it deals for damage to each opponent or we can exile two coptic cards.
Our library. We choose one of them and until the next turn you may play that card. So pretty much we have to play that card ellie headhunter is another card for cost two three with menace sacrifice creature control or artifact.
It’s two damage to target creature planeswalker uh this one’s not as good as the other ones. But it’s still a decent way to kind of get some damage. We want to redirect it towards target creature planeswalker to remove it and then overall the mana base is pretty straightforward this would actually is on the lower end because i guess the overall curve is only four uh.
It’s ten swamps. Nine mountains four bloodfield caves and one temple of malice. So the overall total here is 24 lands and that is the rector starter deck.
