how to find the perimeter of a quadrilateral This is a topic that many people are looking for. khurak.net is a channel providing useful information about learning, life, digital marketing and online courses …. it will help you have an overview and solid multi-faceted knowledge . Today, khurak.net would like to introduce to you How to Find the Perimeter of a Quadrilateral. Following along are instructions in the video below:
Guys so in this video. Im going to be showing you how to find find the perimeter of a two dimensional shape. But first lets just remind ourselves what perimeter actually means as it says right here.
The parameter is the total distance of all the edges of a 2d shape. Okay. Lets get our 2d shape.
So the 2d shape. We have is a rectangle with four sides are lets just say four edges. So we have one edge right.
There we have another edge right there we have another edge right. There and then we have another edge. So we have four edges.
So what were going to do in order to figure out the perimeter. Were going to add the distance of all the edges of all the four edges going to add them together in order to figure out what the perimeter of this 2d shape is so lets get started so lets say were going to start with this edge right here. What is the distance of this edge.
Hmm. Lets just say that edge is seven centimeters right this edge is 7. Centimeters and automatically this edge right.
Here is also going to be 7 centimeters.
Were not done as yet though we have to still figure out the distance of this edge. And this edge. Because we need a total which means all the edges.
So this edge is 4 centimeters. So this edge is automatically going to be 4 centimeters right for 17 years. There you go so we have the distance of all our edges of all the four edges and and it says the total distance.
Which means that were going to have to add this number 7 plus. 7. Plus.
4. Plus. 4.
Cause. We. This is always going to figure out the total distance right because were going to add these individual these separate distances of each edge.
Were going to add them together all right so we do that you have something like this. Which is 7 seven plus four plus four which is going to be equal to 22. But of course.
We cant just leave it at plain old 22.
No we have to stick with our units and the units in this case is centimeters. So therefore. The answer is going to be 22 centimeters.
We have to stick with our units. If you add inches over here. Theres nowhere you could have centimeters over here keep the units together.
There are centimeters. Therefore. The answer has to be in centimeters as well as they were in inches.
The answer would have to be without to be in inches. If it was miles then the answer be miles but in this case its centimeters. So again.
We have seven centimeters plus. Seven centimeters plus. Four centimeters plus.
Four centimeters. Which comes to a total magic word total right here a total of 22. So the perimeter this shape is 22 centimeters.
