It has to be marketing oriented has to be cost effective read free or really cheap. It has to be realistic. I don t know how many recruiters. I ve talked to over the years just say.

I m gonna make 100 phone calls a day and talk to 95 clients forget it make 10 talk to five close one you re a hero. These are the kind of numbers you want as well and at the end of the day all of the stuff that you we talked about tonight. When you make your planet. Absolutely has to be achievable because you guys know when you set objectives for your staff.

If they don t meet them it demoralizes them it s the same in job hunting. So we want to make sure that you re setting yourself up for success throughout the entire process. Okay who s heard this expression. So what who cares why you if anybody s raised money in the last ten years.

That s what the vc say yes. So why okay why you it s the same thing when you re job hunting. What do you want to do who do you want to work for why should they hire you and by the way. It s your job to figure that out we ll talk about this at an ad nauseam.

It s your job to figure that out and articulate it in the first one inch of a letter. The first three inches of a resume. The first three seconds on the phone because that s all you re going to get. It is not the employers job.

It s yours when martin runs you through the 30 second commercial drill and we all laugh. These are jobs that people are or are not getting because of exercises like this so yeah you know do these things in front of your kids let them laugh at you do these things in front of your spouses. Let them laugh at you too until you get it down pat. When it comes to planning and clarity.

They were there before just like that saturn.

But you didn t see them. Because you weren t clear you weren t aware so it s critical before you go home. They re right on the train and in the car whenever get crystal clear and you can always change your mind. So it s really critical for you at the end.

I may ask that question again i d like to see every hand go up because once you re clear on the job. You seek it will appear to you just like driving off the lot. And you see that make and model every third car that s how it works. It s called the reticular activation system.
