It s always been a good move because the player base wants it right the player base wants to play against other players who wouldn t want to play against their friend. That plays on xbox just to shut them up. And say hey you know what we got the better players on sony. You know it just just the the talk smacking that you say back and forth.
And not only that sometimes some of your friends have an xbox and you have playstation and you know what you want to just be able to play with each other right so let s talk about what was announced yesterday. So ps4 cross play is all over the news right if you go to google and you type in ps4 cross play articles on articles pop up. But in this one article right here. I just want to show you it s from ign.
It says sony s cosplay function for playstation 4. Has now completed its beta phase and is a full feature for all developers to make use of now. If you ve been gaming recently. You probably noticed one of the hot titles coming out is modern warfare.
Right and they are one of the first big companies. So activision one of the first big companies to put this as a full feature in their upcoming release now the beta phase for playstation. 4. Cosplay.
Included games such as fortnight and rocket. Li..
Which helped prove that the system capabilities were there hopefully from now on we ll get to see more platform games. Support cross play and this was from ign directly. But shortly after this article was released guess who came out and said that they are going to be supporting cross play pub g. Yes pub.
Three said xbox and playstation. 4 players can play together in the new. Patch 43. On pub g.
So why is this important to playstation. 4. To xbox to pc to the division 2 community. Because that means we have a possibility in the near future to get cross platform play between all of us.
Now of course. This would be a hundred percent an option right this wouldn t be forced upon us. If you didn t want to play with anybody else. Besides playstation.
4. People then you could probably select playstation. 4. Only but if you did most likely you could select if you wanted to play with playstation.
4 and xbox and then if you wanted to play with pc. I m not a hundred percent sure would we see cross platform with pc..
Because you know mouse and keyboard versus controller maybe there s be an option if someone has a controller then they can choose if they want to play with mouse and keyboard players and if you don t then you would only be paired up with controller players on xbox now will we get this immediately don t dream don t expect it but could it be something that we see in the near future. I would like to bet my money on it the first company to come out with kross save was destiny right so destiny recently came out with kross save where you could save one account. And it would work on all three platforms. So if you save your pc account you could use it on xbox playstation.
4. And vice versa save a playstation. 4 account. It would be the same account on all three platforms.
Now i would think that s where they would go first so we would migrate from saving one account on each. And you just pick the account you want and then that account would migrate over to playstation. 4. Xbox.
Pc. And then we would get something more along the lines of cross platform. Or maybe they ll keep it separate and then we go straight to cross platform. But these are just endless possibilities and i think this could be a game changer for the division going forward yes.
The division going forward this 100 would be a game changer and something i would like to see personally. I would definitely like to see some cross platform play between playstation. 4. And xbox at least and maybe.
If there was a way to detect if they were using a controller on pc. Well then they could play with controller players and then if they came out and said okay now you can use keyboard and mouse on console will it would detect that and then you would be put into lobbies with pc players that would take a lot of time..
But that is just something i m throwing out there. And i think with so many companies jumping on board pub g. Fortnight. I imagine destiny to will probably be the first sorry not first.
But the next big company to go along board. We have call of duty modern warfare. A hundred percent getting on board. This is just the future of gaming.
And i can t see a publisher like ubisoft not jumping on board and taking advantage of this great opportunity to bring the community together and bring us all as one so hopefully we see this in the future. Man. I m a little excited after sony released this i was a little worried for a long time which sony ever jump on board with all games. Because i just i m a gamer right so any game. I play if my friends have an xbox.
I m like hey all i have is a pc and playstation. 4. Wow. Should i go out and buy an xbox.
I probably should because there are still some exclusives on microsoft. But i can always play those on pc right so i really don t need to go get an xbox let me know what you guys think about this..
Do you think. This is a great idea would you love to see division. 2 cross platform pc. Vs.
Xbox and playstation or would you just like to see playstation xbox against each other i think in pve. It wouldn t really matter. But in pvp is where they need to be a little bit more strict on controllers planning. It s controllers and making sure people have the choice right agents have the choice on who they want to play with so let me know what you guys think about this.
