“Internet world and welcome to a new video on the geek android channel in today today s video. I ve got this tiny teeny. Little mobile printer from brother and is very very useful if you re a mobile road warrior. Perhaps you work on the road travel to various sort of sales meetings travels or clients.
And you need to print things out why sure on site or on location. Another use case in reo for something like this is maybe your trades person. Maybe you re a plumber electrician. Something like that and you want to actually generate your invoice weiss.
You re at your clients premises. Something like this really would serve that purpose. This is the brother pj 763 now it comes as far as i can recollect in two different models in this model here which actually connects via bluetooth or indeed you can get an mfi model which connects via wi fi as well so bluetooth and wi fi and there are other models available in the range this particular. One is a thermal printer prints up to 300 dpi.
There s no need for inks because you re using soar thermally responsive paper that you insert into this so either a roll or single sheet feed. I m going to show you it hopefully live in this video printing yes. Brave move dave. I m going to actually test this live on this very video now at the moment.
I ve got this connected to power. So i m going to show you it a bit closer up in a short while but first of all i just want to show you it printing. So i m just going to pop it very carefully on top of this box. And then i ve got a single sheet of paper here so you can print on a4 sheets of paper.
I m not sure if this has got what only one side that works on that s the only thing. I haven t sort of worked out. But when we put it in the printer. It s all grips on to the paper.
So we know it s inserted correctly before i actually sent set a print going let me just show you the page. I m using so it s the pa c41. One paper..

So you can buy a pack of this it s about i think about twelve pounds fourteen pounds for a pack. Think you getting a hundred sheets with it fifty sheets in here duh. It s either 50 or 100 sheets. But you can also print on rolls.
So you can get these thermal rolls they give the par 4 1. 1. Bees. So you can actually print on rolls and i ll show you a really neat solution to printing on rolls in a moment but let s print something from my macro and i m currently connected via bluetooth so we click print and then the data light will start flashing on the printer.
I m not sure if you can see that so you got the little data light flashing and then when it sent the data to the printer. It will actually print that shape it does make a noise while sprinting because it s a thermally. Reacting to the paper got a little print head going across of course. And you can see it printing out here.
We go look you can see that print coming out of the printer now. It is a monochrome printer. It s really designed for printing things like invoices sales charts things that you need to print wire on a client s premises. And there we go.
There is the printer no ink in the printer because it s the thermal printer printed to an a4 sheet perfectly acceptable for a business document in fact. The 300 dpi resolution. Really gives a nice crispness to the text. So it s done a good job on the text and just ideal for printing out invoices and business documents now also i mentioned about the thermal rolls.
So we can print to thermal rolls. There is also this available this is the parc 0 01. It s a roll printer case and when you open this up it actually accommodates the roll in the back section of the box. Here for want of a better term or this case and the printer all in one really neat solution very nice.
Though it s completely enclosed in this it s called twice or ruggedized feel to it we ve got some sort of bumper protection on the sides. We ve still got access to the buttons on the printer here through the case and this will accommodate the roll and allow you to have that continuous sheetfed roll and print out from it very very cool indeed. So that s the the roll printer case..

So an additional accessory that s well worth picking up actually very very cool. Indeed now we ve also got battery because of course. It s a mobile printer. So you re not always going to be able to be plugged into the mains.
Why she ll printing and on the bottom of the battery. It s got the various status led lights so what i want to do is just take this printer round here. So i m going to unplug the power adapter actually. It s turning off properly.
So we turn off fire the little button on the side. So. It s now powered off it s removed that and then we ve got some little silver lock catches. Just here and if you imagine something like the bottom of a laptop.
So we can take this off and then this removes and then we can actually pop the battery in so just clicks into place. Now this one here. The blanking plate just has the led status indicators for if your power in the printer via them. The mains ac adapter.
This one has extra led indicators across the bottom to give you the various status for the battery as well round on this side of the printer. We ve got mini usb and also the input for the power supply and then across the top. We ve got some branding and details and also some guides for different size papers and then the three buttons across this side here. So if i push the power button.
Which is the top one we get all of the little status leds come on you can see those lighting up there and then we ve got bluetooth on at the moment. We can actually push the bluetooth button and turn bluetooth off. And then we can turn back on using the main power bar. And then we ve got a status led here and also a data led that come on when it s accepting data and then we can also open this front section up.
So if we do this quick. Very carefully like so this hinges up and exposes that role inside and really the only reason you probably open this up is if you were getting rid of a paper jam for example you can open that up to get rid of a paper jam this back section here has got a little bit of a texture to it and that s where you locate the paper and it pulls it into the printer before printing and then this back section. Here s got a little bit of texture to it as well..

It s a nice feeling printer nickel rubberized feet on the bottom just there little rubberized feet to keep it from slipping around on your desk or table. And it just works extremely well very very cool indeed really nice little printer now something like this as i said earlier. I think side deal if you re out and about all the time and the fact that you can connect via bluetooth is really very useful i just demonstrated it printing from my mac pro. But that could be a macbook pro.
Macbook or windows. Based laptop with bluetooth in it. And you got that direct connection. The other model.
The pj. 7 6. 3. Mfi also includes wi fi.
So then you can connect it to a wi fi network for example and then connect various devices to it as well something that s really neat is even if you haven t got a laptop you can actually connect to it via your mobile phone. So if you ve got an android phone or an ios device. Then you can connect to it and actually print from that device. Which is again very very flexible.
Very very useful it does also support mac os as i demonstrated here windows and linux and i think citrix as well if i m not mistaken so do check that out if you need that confirmed. But it is just a really cool solution and if you are somebody who travels a lot that needs to print. This is just so compact he s very very compact and not obviously very portable. I was surprised when i opened up the box.
So i got the box with all of the thermal rolls in the ac adapter. The case and pretty much apart from the ac adapter in the battery. The smallest box was indeed the printer and then when i opened it up and removed it from the packaging. I mean look at the size of this box so open this up and then saw the size of the printer.
I was amazed at how small this is very very cool and super super useful now this is a live broadcast. So i want to say a big shout out to pull philips and also to steven alley.
